I completely agree with Russia's immediate response to this action by temporarily suspending adoptions to the US while new regulations are made. The Russian government said there have been 14 cases of serious abuse and neglect by American "parents" looking to adopt. That's sick, and I know that is not a huge number but these poor children have already gone through enough and then they are displaced from their country and brought to one where they are in danger? No way.
I understand that many people are upset about the some 250 families that have almost completed the long adoption process being put back even further until the new restrictions are in place. However, before we allow any more children into a situation with a person such as this dreadful Tennessee woman we should re-evaluate the system and do it right the first time around.
